With only a few hours until Apple’s first event of the year, a last-minute rumor reveals a few additional details about the impending iPhone SE 3.
Apple will reveal the new iPhone SE 3 with the A15 Bionic chip, 4GB of RAM, a better camera (albeit no sensor shift), a 4.7-inch display, and the same $399 price point, according to user yeux1122 on the Korean blog Naver.
To back up their claim, they use Taiwan supply chain sources. Even while all of this has been predicted by other analysts in earlier reports, yeux1122 offers a few more proposals that we haven’t seen before.
The user claims that the next iPhone SE 3 would have MagSafe capabilities, despite the fact that Macotakara, a Japanese blog, recently stated that it would not:
The iPhone SE (3rd generation), which is expected to be the successor to the iPhone SE (2nd generation) released in April 2020, would retain the chassis design and continue to support Qi wireless charging, but will not support MagSafe, according to reputable sources in China.
Furthermore, when compared to its predecessor, the new iPhone SE 3 would have a “much increased” battery life. Finally, Apple would incorporate Ceramic Shield technology into the body of this phone, making it more resistant to drops.
It’s worth noting that user yeux1122 doesn’t have a long track record when it comes to Apple — they were only half-right about the iPad mini 6, and their most recent prediction is about the iPhone 14 Pro’s RAM.
We’ll be able to assess whether yeux1122 can be trusted in the future, regardless of whether Apple adds MagSafe compatibility and Ceramic Shield functionality.
