Elden Ring fans are arguing the significance of a few mysteriously sealed portions of The Lands Between, with many speculating that they’ll be used for PvP or DLC additions like Boss Rush (although the latter seems much less likely).

It’s highly likely that you’ve come across one or more of the Colosseums in The Lands Between and been perplexed as to why you can’t enter.
Limgrave, the game’s first region, features a Colosseum defended by an NPC invader that you must fight in order to claim two of the game’s multiplayer items. The Colosseum, on the other hand, stays shut, with a ghostly person sitting outside, pondering why they can’t come in.
Lance McDonald, a dataminer for FromSoft, has published a video showcasing what’s inside the Colosseum, which is a fully realized area featuring an arena, spectator stands, and elevators. Colosseums can also be found in various locations throughout the map.
While some may consider this to be simple cut content, many (including McDonald) believe the places will be utilised for future DLC. Many people believe that this is a natural method to introduce a complete PvP feature to the game. While PvP invasions are a functional feature of the game, unlike other Souls titles, there is presently no dedicated place for players to pit their wits against one another.
Others have hypothesized that the sections could be used for a Boss Rush mode, which would allow players to relive battles with Elden Ring’s several bosses. This seems significantly less likely, given that producer Yasuhiro Kitao previously stated that the team has no plans to implement such a feature at this time.
Any prospective expansion DLC will be months away at the very least, but given the size of Elden Ring, you’ll definitely have plenty to keep you engaged for a long time.
