Sachiko Ishimaru returns to direct/write script; Yohei Isshiki/Ryōta Hirono reprise position as Edward Elric
Square Enix and Marvelous introduced on Wednesday that they’re producing the second stage play adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa‘s Fullmetal Alchemist manga titled Hagane no Renkinjutsushi Zokushо̄ (Fullmetal Alchemist Sequel Chapter). It’s scheduled to open in 2024. Sachiko Ishimaru is returning to direct the play and pen the script. Yōhei Isshiki and Ryōta Hirono each reprise their position as protagonist Edward Elric.
The primary play ran on the Shin Kabuki-za in Osaka on March 8-12, and on the Nippon Seinen-kan Corridor in Tokyo on March 17-26.
Shuto Mashima performs Alphonse Elric, whereas Kōsei Sakurada is the go well with actor for Alphonse. Rin Okabe from AKB48 performs Winry Rockbell. Jin Aoki and Takuma Wada are additionally double forged as Roy Mustang. The manga impressed tv anime variations in 2003 and 2009, two OVAs, two anime movies, and a live-action movie. Two live-action sequel movies launched commemorating the twentieth anniversary of the franchise. Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Kanketsu-hen – Fukushūsha Scar opened in Could 2022 and Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Kanketsu-hen – Saigo no Rensei opened in June 2022. Just like the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist anime, the 2009 Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood anime relies on Hiromu Arakawa’s authentic manga, though the latter hews nearer to the manga’s story and ending.
