Halo developer 343 Industries has released many information about what players can expect from the Halo Infinite campaign experience in a new campaign overview video. This offers a detailed look at the game’s gameplay, as well as observations on the plot and writing of Halo Infinite. Since the game’s inaugural gameplay reveal in 2020, this is the first time we’ve seen the Halo Infinite campaign up close.
The video largely demonstrated many of Halo Infinite’s gameplay features, which are designed to make the game feel more open, dynamic, and non-linear than prior Halo games. The game’s day/night cycle, enemy patrols, side missions in the open world that require you to save Marines or wipe out Banished strongholds, known as Banished minibosses, and upgrades for Halo Infinite’s numerous Equipment pieces can all be obtained via discovering Spartan Cores in-game. In addition, the movie revealed some brand new details concerning Halo Infinite’s plot. Finding out what happened to Cortana after the events of Halo 5, in which she took control of the Forerunner Guardians and dominated the galaxy, will be one of the plot’s main focuses. The film also included fresh footage of the Banished’s leader, War Chief Escharum, and a deadly Spartan-killer Elite known as Jega ‘Rdomnai. “The Harbinger,” who was mentioned briefly in the 2020 gameplay clip, was also shown, and she appears to be a totally new character who declares “The Forerunners’ lies have come to an end” and that “she is the Harbinger of the truth.”
Unlike the free-to-play multiplayer in Halo Infinite, the Halo Infinite campaign costs $60. (notably, you will unlock some campaign-exclusive items in multiplayer). If you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you’ll get access to it, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will also receive monthly goodies. On December 8, 2021, the campaign will be released alongside the multiplayer suite on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and Windows PCs.
