You’ll be able to pin your own video within a meeting with a new feature coming soon to Microsoft Teams. This should make it easy for you to present yourself to your coworkers as you meant. You can pin other people’s video feeds in Teams right now, but not your own.
The functionality is presently scheduled for wide deployment in December 2021, according to the Microsoft 365 roadmap. Because these are proposed release dates rather than set deadlines, the dates on the roadmap are subject to change.
According to the roadmap’s description:
Users can currently pin video streams to their own screens to expand the size of the desired video. We’ve also made it possible for users to pin their own videos to the stage. Users will be able to see their own video in a larger format on their screen as a result of this.
When you pin a video in a conference, it rises above all other participants’ feeds. It also expands the size of the video that is pinned. When people need to concentrate on a certain caller during a presentation, this option comes in handy. People will soon notice the same advantages when pinning their own video.
