Razer just couldn’t stop himself. The game company is also selling a huge fan that attaches to a smartphone, which most people would never use.
The Razer Phone Cooler Chroma has a rotational speed of up to 6,400rpm and is designed to keep a smartphone cool if it overheats during a long gaming session. It’s only $59.99 right now.
In a tweet, the business said, “Powered by superior cooling technology and Razer Chroma RGB, you can now keep cool in the heat of battle with style.”
According to Razer, the item is compatible with most Android smartphones as well as Apple’s iPhone. A “universal clamp” is included in the standard unit. However, Apple’s MagSafe connector allows the business to attach a unique magnetic version to an iPhone 12 or 13.
Your smartphone will undoubtedly stand out with this product. The fan is large and features RGB illumination with 12 customisable lights that can be controlled via Bluetooth.
Despite its size, Razer claims that the product produces only 30 dB of fan noise. A USB-C cable is used to charge the fan.
Razer’s RGB fan is the latest in a long series of unusual items. In September, the business released tiny finger sleeves for smartphone gamers to wear to keep their hands from sweating. The business then released the Zephyr, an RGB-powered air purifier mask, in October, which is still selling out due to great demand.
If your phone does have a tendency to overheat, see our tutorial on how to fix the problem without spending $60 on a fan.
