Rugs provide a foundation for furniture and other home dcor. To clean them, you must take them outside and use a variety of tools and cleaners, or pay a professional. You question if their beauty is worth the maintenance.
Consider Ruggable before putting off rug cleaning for another week. It makes machine-washable, two-piece rug and non-slip pad solutions. After trying a Ruggable rug in my flat, I realized having a gorgeous rug is simple and economical.
Designs
After measuring for a rug, I browsed Ruggable’s site for patterns and colors that fit my apartment. You can get elaborate designs and geometric prints as well as trendy ones. 3’x 5′, 2.5’x 7′, 5’x 7′, and 8’x 10′ are available.
A 5’x 7′ rug set runs $130, which is comparable to other budget rugs on Wayfair, but the two-piece method and machine-washable quality stand out.
Ruggable rugs
The rug covers include three layers: a woven polyester chenille top, a polyurethane internal waterproof barrier, and a polyester knit bottom.
The 1/8-inch rug cover includes a pad. This nonslip pad is 1/8-inch thick and includes Ruggable’s unique “Cling Effect Technology”
After unrolling the cover and pad, align them up and connect them. The rug cover’s bottom sticks to the rug pad’s top surface, which is Velcro-like. After the two sections are joined, you’ll have to physically separate them.
Installation
Lining up the edges takes time the first time, but it’s not difficult. The entire rug assembly method took me 10 minutes.
The rugs aren’t thick but provide adequate padding without obstructing doorways. They’re easier to move and transport because the cover folds up.
Rug-cleaning
After two weeks of foot traffic from my roommates and cat, it was time to wash it. I removed the pad’s cover, washed it with cold water, and dried it on low heat (medium also works, but not high).
The cover came out as good as new after a simple wash. Reattaching it to the rug pad made it usable again.
The rug pad is spot-wash only. Since the top rarely touches anything but the rug cover, spot treatment will be minimal.
Summary
Ruggable makes rugs for busy, untidy people. Ruggable’s convenience and aesthetics brought me one step closer to design magazine perfection.
