The Awake VINGA electric hydrofoil board is the world’s fastest electric surfboard

Awake, a Swedish electric surfboard firm, is most known for their high-speed boards, which can reach speeds of up to 57 km/h (35 mph). However, the company is now hitting new heights with its newest product, the Awake VINGA electric hydrofoil board, which rises from the water.
Because of their lower drag, hydrofoil boards are far more efficient than traditional electric surfboards.
The surfboard no longer skims across the surface as they gain speed, but instead rises out of the water on its hydrofoil, which is supported by a single mast.
The board can then be balanced on the hydrofoil by a skillful operator, effectively flying the board above the water as the underwater wing slices through the water.
The VINGA board from Awake incorporates a lot of the company’s current electric surfboard technology, which is now being applied to the new hydrofoil board.
They’ve made safety upgrades along the road, which should result in a smoother and safer ride. The impeller, for example, is completely contained in a lengthy jet shroud, which not only smooths out the ride when the impeller approaches the water’s surface, but also ensures that no body parts get near the spinning blade during a wipeout.
For different sorts of riding – uh, surfing… err, flying? – the board is suitable with two wing styles.
The Awake Powder 1350, for example, is “ideal for dynamic cruising (up to 80kg).” The second choice is the Awake Powder 1800, which is more beginner-friendly for lighter weight riders while also supporting heavy weight riders who weigh more than 80 kg (176 lb) according to Awake.
The VINGA also takes use of the Awake RVIK’s current electric surfboard batteries.
Anyone who has one of Awake’s high-performance electric surfboards already has a battery that is compatible.
The VINGA’s design makes it simple to pack up for transport, with the main boom popping right off the board. The board is repositioned on top of the boom, and a handle is turned to secure the two together. The battery is then installed, and the board is ready to surf.
When it comes to numbers, the price is the only one I have for you. The board will cost €12,900 (about US $14,200) before VAT, and it will start shipping in June.

Awake has yet to share the rest of the data, such as speed, power, acceleration, or any other key specifications.
If the company’s high-powered and super-fast electric surfboards are any indicator, this e-hydrofoil board won’t be a slouch.
